Knott County, Kentucky has developed a number of ATV and dirtbike trails in their county.

In the Spring of 2007, they held their first trail ride with 500 people attending. Riders came from as far away as Dayton, Ohio and North Augusta, South Carolina.

Knott County has also opened an ATV Training Center and Skills Test Course this past year on reclaimed coal land. It is the only dedicated training center for off-road safety in the Appalachian region that includes both a training area, a skills test course as well as beginner, intermediate & challenge trails accessible right from the center. There is unlimited potential here.

In the Fall of 2007, Knott County was the location for one of the
Kentucky Off-Road Hare Scramble Trials - 2007 Championship Series.

Hundreds of people attended the event. A few came from as far away as Ohio, Indiana and Georgia.
